THE CARMARTHENSHIRE ANTIQUARIAN SOCIETY
(Cymdeithas Hynafiaethau Sir Gaerfyrddin)
The Society was founded in 1905. Its objects are to promote the study of the history, archaeology, antiquities and folklore of Carmarthenshire in particular and West Wales
in general; to encourage the preservation of local records,
antiquities and objects of Historical and archaeological interest.
The Carmarthenshire Antiquary, the Transactions of the Society, is published annually and is issued free to members. Field meetings at places of archaeological, architectural and Historical interest are held in summer and autumn. Evening lectures are given during the winter at Carmarthen and Llanelli and can be arranged at other
centers.
